The paintings in "Look Me in the Window" are like windows behind a thin net curtain. All you have to do is stand in front of them, sharpen your gaze and start to see what is really going on inside. Each work is a window onto another world, one you can linger in for a while before returning to your own, richer for new stories. The exhibition focuses on the very latest in Polish painting and on stories that shape human beliefs.
The exhibition is meant above all for those only just beginning their adventure with art. It grows out of the guided tours of the collection's show at MOCAK in Kraków, after which many people began visiting galleries and cultural institutions as part of their everyday life. It comes in two parallel versions: a physical one, for a single weekend in Warsaw, and a virtual one, built around Radek Kotarski's narration and available from anywhere at kotarskicollection.com. In both, a story guides the viewer, one that doesn't replace looking, only deepens it.
