Pamela Bożek is an artist, activist, and educator, a Doctor of Fine Arts, and the mother of Ignacy. Her work focuses on care and community-based practices, as well as education and collaboration for solidarity, accessibility, and equality. She specializes in creating tools and strategies for cooperation and action within the field of contemporary art that take into account the needs and rights of people with refugee and migration experience, caregivers, and people with disabilities.

She is the recipient of the 2024 Maria Anto and Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven Art Prize for a young Polish female artist awarded for courage and breaking boundaries. In 2019, she received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and was awarded the Bogna Olszewska Scholarship by the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and the Nieograniczona Foundation.

Her doctoral dissertation, From Polish Soil to Poland, supervised by Prof. Iwona Demko and Prof. Krzysztof Wodiczko, was recognized in the Gessel Foundation competition for Zachęta (2024).

She graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture and the Environmental Doctoral Studies at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków.

She co-develops the accessibility department at Zachęta – National Gallery of Art in Warsaw, where she coordinates the Own Rooms project as part of the Accessible Culture program, and the Zachęta on the Road outreach program, through which she organizes meetings at the Warsaw-Grochów Remand Centre.
