Irmina Staś, Chlorophyll and Blood 36, 2024
Irmina Staś, born in 1986, lives and works in Warsaw. She graduated with a MA in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw under professor Leon Tarasewicz.
She has shown her solo shows in: Foksal Gallery, Warsaw (2020); BWA Gallery, Zielona Góra (2019); City Art Center in Gorzów Wielkopolski (2018); Zacheta Gallery’s Project Space, Warsaw (2016); Wizytujaca Gallery, Warsaw (2013, 2016); Strabag Kunstforum, Vienna (2014). She was a recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, including a Fellowship of the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2015, 2019) and Strabag International Finals (2013). She has participated in numerous group shows in Poland and abroad: National Museum, Gdańsk (2019), Contemporary Art Center, Velez-Malaga, Spain (2016); Museum of Contemporary Art, Minsk, Belarus (2015); Ethnographic Museum, Warsaw (2020) and Stefan Gierowski Foundation in Warsaw (2017).
Her works can be found in many collections among others: Arsenal Gallery, Białystok; National Museum, Gdańsk; BWA Bielska Gallery, Bielsko-Biała; Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw; PKO Polish Bank Art Collection; Strabag Kunstforum, Vienna and many private collections.
