Ola Skowrońska

A Polish photographer and video artist. She is a graduate of the Photography Department at the Łódź Film School. In her practice, she draws on the interpretation of social, historical, or scientific phenomena, using them as starting points for telling personal stories. Research and working with archives are essential elements of her artistic process. She is interested in points of convergence between media and often combines image, text, and performance.

Her works have been shown in numerous exhibitions in Poland and internationally, including at the Circulation(s) Festival in Paris, PhMuseum Days in Bologna, Fotofestiwal in Łódź, Krakow Photomonth, as well as at the State Gallery of Art in Sopot and AOKZ Gallery in Łódź.

She participated in the artist residency during the “W Ramach Sopotu” festival (2022) and the Ephemerality Residency Program at CO.LABS Zona in Brno (2024). She is a recipient of a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (MKiDN) and the Konrad Pustoła Grant.
