Rafał Milach

Visual artist, photographer, and educator. His work focuses on the tension between society and power structures. Author of protest books and critical publications on state control. He is a professor at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School of Silesian University in Katowice, Poland. Milach is a winner of the Author Book Award at Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles, France and World Press Photo contest. A finalist of the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize, Polityka Passports Award. He has received scholarships from the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Magnum Foundation, and European Cultural Foundation. A co-founder of the Archive of Public Protests and Sputnik Photos collectives. He is the only Polish member of Magnum Photos. He constantly publishesin the most important magazines in the world. Milach’s works have been widely exhibited in Poland and worldwide, and can be found in the collections of MoMA Warsaw, Poland,
