Born in 1928 in Warsaw. One of the most outstanding Polish photographers. Specialized mainly in portrait and theatre photography. Graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Kraków University of Technology. A long-time co-worker of the Kraków magazine 'Przekrój', in which he published many photo essays, fashion photos and, above all, for which he is the author of more than 500 covers. He has been involved in theatre photography since 1959. He has worked with various theatres documenting performances and portraying their creators. His longest association was with the Old Theatre in Kraków. He has published several albums. A winner of many awards. He took part in numerous individual and collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including famous ones – Subjective Photography from 1968 and Searching Photographers from 1971. In the 1970s he headed the Kraków Branch of the ZPAF and was also a member of the ZPAF Artistic Council in Warsaw. He was awarded the FIAP Excellence title. Plewiński's works can be found in numerous public and private collections.
