Kaja Gadomska
In 2014, she defended her thesis project in the Department of Graphic Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In her practice, she joins together her interest in colour and shape, as well as the process of seeing and perceiving – the unique impression that comes about when the viewer comes in contact with a work. She calls attention to universal ideals and concepts in the area of painting, such as harmony and composition, as well as differences in perception when a composition is seen through its elements and as a whole. She places a special focus on the character of the artist and their creative process, as well as the valuable role of time in creating a work. She analyses the potential in perceiving works of art and all the factors that play into whether a painting is capable of captivating a viewer and holding their gaze. Lives and works in Warsaw.
