We've come to present our wares; we have the freshest selection and emotional baggage in the back of a truck. Everything is authentic, nothing fake. These aren't ordinary knock-offs, and this isn't an ordinary situation, but a state of limbo. It's a relocation where everything teeters on the edge of camp. The objects presented in this space can seem suspicious, as if their value were conventional, negotiable, or even questionable. Everything hinges on the tension between disclosure and shame, between presentation and concealment. There's a gesture of risk here, as if caught red-handed in the midst of an ambiguous exchange; this in-between state freezes movement and time. The figures and objects seem frozen, as if on a postcard. It's an invitation to view art as a commodity that can be exhibited, sold, or abandoned.
