Aleksandra Liput's exhibition 'What the shadow lips say' explores the symbolism of the cave - treating it as a metaphor for the inner journey, self-discovery and regeneration. Inspired by the thought of Gaston Bachelard, the project portrays the cave as a space of confrontation with darkness, but also as a place of refuge and contemplation. The works on display encourage an equal view of light and darkness - the visible and the hidden - as equal forces shaping human experience.

The starting point for the exhibition of recent works is a series of drawings accompanied by ceramic objects with elements of wool and other organic materials, evoking associations with the intimate space of the home.
