Kwaku Yaro is a contemporary artist living and working in Labadi, Accra. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions, collaborating with renowned institutions such as the Alliance Française d’Accra. His solo exhibition at the African Regent Hotel in Accra significantly increased interest in his work both locally and internationally. His works have been shown at venues including Pearl Lam Gallery in Hong Kong, Efie Gallery in Dubai, and Phillips Auction House in London. Yaro is a member of the Artemartis collective in Accra.
He has developed an innovative and compelling artistic practice that transforms elements of the everyday, the ordinary, and the mundane into a space for social, religious, and economic reflection.
