Mateusz Pecyna is a Polish visual artist working with moving image, installation, and sound. In his practice, he examines how technological systems transform contemporary culture, with particular attention to power relations, regimes of visibility, and environmental exploitation. Using post-photographic strategies, the artist constructs speculative narratives in which scientific references and everyday observations intertwine with an ironic sense of humour.
He holds a Master’s degree in Photography and Multimedia from the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. He has presented his work in solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad, in both museum and festival contexts. He is a recipient of the City of Łódź Artistic Scholarship (2025) and was nominated for the FUTURES Photography platform (2026).
