Marta Jabłońska (b. 1998) lives and works in Warsaw. She creates paintings, objects, and ephemeral works. She studied at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Cracow University of Technology, the Faculty of Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and the Faculty of Media Art, where she graduated in 2022. A four-time recipient of the Rector's Scholarship at the Academy of Fine Arts, she was awarded the City of Warsaw Artistic Scholarship in 2023. In 2024, she completed an artistic residency in Belgium, where she presented her first solo exhibition. In 2025, she held the solo exhibition In Secret I Wave My Hands at the EL Gallery Centre for Contemporary Art in Elbląg, developed as part of the institution's residency programme and the exhibition series Shared Traits, Distinctive Features. The project drew on the institution's archives and the local context, transforming them into a personal, materially grounded narrative. Her practice explores themes of presence and interpersonal relationships, observing the boundary between what is innate and what is acquired. She works with detail and fragment, and her projects often unfold through a process-based approach. Her works emerge from intuitive gestures, close observation, and an emotionally attentive engagement with materials.
