Kate Burling (b. 1998, Reading, UK) lives and works in South-East London. She uses impressionistic finger-marks, soft edges and iridescent colour shifts to explore the porosity of boundaries. Her interest in surrealist scenery, where the place between opposites is held in suspension, informs her cloud-like compositions.

Since completing her BA in Fine Art at Camberwell College in 2022, Kate has presented three solo shows with Nosbaum Reding (Brussels), Ronchini Gallery (London) and miłość (London), as well as taking part in a number of group exhibitions at Christie’s, Guts Gallery, Soup Gallery, General Assembly, miłość and Milan Art Fair, and residencies at WIP Space, Goodeye Projects, Pictorum Gallery (both London) and Fondazione Sandro Moretti (Umbria).
