Gizela Mickiewicz
Lives and works in Warsaw. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, Poland. Solo shows include: Centre of Polish Sculpture, Orońsko; Stereo, Warsaw; Lucas Hirsch, Dusseldorf; Arsenal, Białystok; BWA Zielona Góra, among others. Group exhibitions include: National Museum, Kraków; CAC Kim?, Riga; CAC, Vilnius; Bunkier Sztuki, Cracow; Kunsthalle Bratislava; Zachęta National Gallery of Art; and Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, among others. Mickiewicz completed a residency at Gasworks, London (2014) and Triangle, New York (2016). She was shortlisted to VIEWS – Deutsche Bank Award (2019). Her works are held in many institutional collections: Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw; Muzeum Sztuki, Łódź; Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw; European Parliament, Brussels.
