Kamil #2 is a Polish visual artist and curator based in Warsaw. He runs his own exhibition space, the Death of Man Gallery, dedicated to contemporary, non-figurative and independent artistic practices.
At the core of his work is a method he calls tauto, based on either avoiding meaning or overloading it to the point of collapse. Tauto grew out of a personal and philosophical need to treat the artwork not as a tool for communication, but as a self-contained presence. It is not intended to express something, but to exist in relation — open, ambiguous, and independent.
Kamil #2’s creative process involves complex methods: he often uses algorithms, generative procedures, or unconventional materials. However, these elements are not meant to impress technically — they serve his search for pure aesthetics. His works do not carry a message. They may touch on themes like the beginning of reality, the nature of novelty, time speculation, or post-human conditions, but never to explain them. These topics are only a background — suspended — so that the viewer can engage with the piece on a sensory and intuitive level.
His art resists easy interpretation and avoids adapting to the expectations of the audience. It doesn’t try to "say" anything — but perhaps opens a narrow possibility of resonance with someone asking similar questions.
