State of Crisis V, 2023, oil on canvas, 160 x 300 cm
Wiktor Dyndo (born 1983 in Warsaw) is a visual artist and painter. In his work he confronts the issues of international events, geopolitics and multiculturalism at its most sensitive junctures. The key themes of his works oscillate around such problems as terrorism, wars and armed conflicts, with a particular focus on the Middle East region. The manipulation of the media, and their importance in the development of contemporary Orientalism, are also among the frequent topics he takes up.
Dyndo is a graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. To his credit, he also holds a scholarship to the Faculty of Painting at Helwan University in Cairo. His work has been shown many times at home and abroad. Wiktor Dyndo's paintings can be found both in state collections (including the National Museum in Gdansk, the Museum of Warsaw, the Museum of Polish History) and in significant private collections in Poland and around the world. He is the recipient of the 2018 and 2025 Ministry of Culture and National Heritage scholarships.
