WHOISPOLA

WHOISPOLA is a contemporary art gallery directed since 2022 by artist Anna Molska and art historian Patrick Komorowski. It focuses on a young generation of visual artists born between 1990 and 2000, offering them both theoretical and practical support, thereby providing emerging artists with the conditions necessary to professionalize their practice.
The program includes group exhibitions, duos, and solo presentations of both Polish and international artists interested in local culture, as well as figures who have shaped Polish contemporary art since the 1970s.
Particular attention is given to ephemeral art forms such as performance, as well as to oral mediation practices that foster relationships between artworks and audiences.
Group exhibition projects are developed as fully-fledged curatorial proposals, resulting from dialogue between artistic practices and current socio-cultural issues. The gallery seeks to strike a balance between global artistic circulation and local rootedness, treating the context of place as a key space for dialogue.
Exhibitions are accompanied by critical texts written by curators, critics, and art historians active both nationally and internationally.
