Lisowski

Lisowski is an art gallery operating in Warsaw since September 2023. It organizes contemporary art exhibitions, dedicating most of its program to artists whose practice addresses issues of sexual identity. The gallery also focuses on uncovering non-heteronormative themes in Polish art history. It serves as a space for contemporary outsiders, self-taught creators, and folk art, all of whom remain on the margins of the Polish art market. The exhibitions primarily feature works by artists exploring non-painting media, often rooted in craft. The curator of most exhibitions and the gallery’s owner is art historian Cezary Lisowski.
