Fundacja Alina

 The Alina Foundation is a space for artistic practice—a place for exhibitions and gatherings. The Foundation is located at 31/33 Brzozowa Street in Warsaw, in a unique space that served as the studio of Alina Szapocznikow (1926–1973) during the 1960s. By using the sculptor's first name as the Foundation's name, we seek to commemorate her presence in this place while, through the presentation and promotion of contemporary artistic practice, referring to Szapocznikow's creative approach—characterized above all by an openness to experimentation with material and form, and by addressing bold subjects that often challenged social and cultural taboos.
