Muzeum Historii Żydów Polskich POLIN
The POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews is a public cultural institution engaged in exhibition, educational, and research activities related to the history and culture of Polish Jews. As part of its mission, the Museum also presents contemporary art that explores themes of memory, identity, and intercultural dialogue.
Exhibition Profile:
The Museum runs a regular program of temporary exhibitions and develops its own collection of contemporary art. Its artistic projects are created in close collaboration with artists and curators from Poland and abroad. POLIN Museum’s exhibitions are distinguished by their strong conceptual foundations and a careful attention to historical and social context.
Selected exhibitions from the past two years:
- "Around the Table: Jewish Culinary Culture" (2023–2024) – a temporary exhibition exploring the role of food in shaping memory and identity.
- "(Post)JEWISH... The Shtetl of Opatów Through the Eyes of Mayer Kirshenblatt" (2023) – an artistic narrative about memory and childhood, based on the works of Mayer Kirshenblatt.
- "Heritage" (2022–ongoing) – a new permanent gallery dedicated to the contribution of Jews to the development of culture, science, art, and social life in Poland.
- "Wilhelm Sasnal: Such a Landscape" (2021–2022) – a contemporary art exhibition organized in cooperation with the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.
