Serce Wróbla
Wschód
18.09.2026 - 31.10.2026Karolina Bielawska works primarily across the painting genre. As part of her practice, she has developed a distinctive sculptural language, creating large-scale, site-specific installations. Her works materialise through a restrained, often monochromatic palette, punctuated by subtle accents of colour. Through the minimal language, she builds compositions that are considered both intuitive and elusive, combining fractal lines, traces of seemingly spontaneous gestures, and biomorphic forms suspended between abstraction and figuration. Her paintings and sculptural installations form a delicate system of interdependence, where, no longer only imagined, relationships and events materialise. Although generally introspective, Bielawska’s practice is shaped by the vitality and memory of specific places. She weaves together internal experiences and external conditions where the personal confronts a material character of a surrounding.
Warsaw Gallery Weekend’s exhibition will take the form of a site-specific painterly installation, accompanied by the newest selection of paintings and drawings. The artist will focus on the relationship between the gallery interior, architecture of the building, and its garden.
