Fundacja Stefana Gierowskiego

Founded in 2014, the Stefan Gierowski Foundation bases its activities on the artist’s Archive, whose mission is to research, document, and preserve Stefan Gierowski’s artistic legacy. The Archive collects and makes accessible exhibition catalogues, scholarly and critical texts, the artist’s own writings, correspondence, and photographs. Owing to Gierowski’s extensive involvement in Poland’s artistic community, the archival holdings also provide valuable insight into key developments in the country’s post-war art history, particularly those connected with the Krzywe Koło Gallery.

The Foundation’s exhibition programme presents survey exhibitions devoted to twentieth-century and contemporary painting, alongside exhibitions of works by Stefan Gierowski.
