Ciacek
Ciacek Gallery was founded in Warsaw in 2024 by Małgorzata Ciacek, with a mission to restore due recognition to overlooked Polish artists of the 20th century—from the interwar avant-garde to creators active during the post-communist transformation. The gallery combines academic rigor with a commitment to social dialogue, organizing curated exhibitions accompanied by scholarly publications. It actively promotes Polish art internationally through participation in art fairs such as TEFAF and Flashback, helping build global recognition for Poland's artistic legacy.
Ciacek Gallery is a continuation of the activities of Olszewski | Ciacek Gallery, which Małgorzata co-owned from 2022 to 2024. In recent years, the gallery has presented a number of significant exhibitions, including the first presentation in nearly a century of Józef Doskowski’s work (2022), and a joint show featuring Wojciech Sadley and Błażej Rusin, addressing themes of spirituality and nomadism. In 2023, the gallery organized two major exhibitions: “Silence in Space”, devoted to Alfred Lenica, and “Splash”, showcasing Witkacy’s photography during Warsaw Gallery Weekend 2023.
The gallery made its international debut at TEFAF Maastricht 2024 (as Olszewski | Ciacek), where it received the J.P. Morgan Showcase Prize. A few months later, in November 2024, now operating as Ciacek Gallery, it gained recognition at the Flashback Art Fair in Turin with a solo presentation of Wojciech Sadley’s works, which received widespread acclaim in the Italian media (including Art Tribune, Finestre sull’Arte, and Corriere Torino).
The inaugural exhibition marking Ciacek’s independent operations in Warsaw was the solo show by Włodzimierz Jan Zakrzewski, titled “Such a Landscape.” In May 2025, the gallery will present works by Franca Sonnino alongside textiles by Wojciech Sadley, with the exhibition curated by Italian art historian Elena Caslini.
