Fundacja Archeologia Fotografii

For the past 18 years, the Archeology of Photography Foundation has worked with photographic archives—preserving, researching, interpreting, and making them accessible through dialogue with contemporary art. The gallery's programme combines research into the history of photography with current artistic practices, supporting emerging artists through exhibitions, institutional collaborations (including with the Italian Cultural Institute on the Giovanna Silva project), and assistance with the sale of artworks and publications.  The Foundation develops innovative approaches to working with photographic heritage, including multisensory VIP encounters. It also supports the emerging art scene through initiatives such as its collaboration with Paweł Bownik within the 3rd Nationwide Artystyczna Podróż Hestii Grant Programme (with an exhibition at FAF planned for 2027). Since its inception, the Foundation has run the "Living Archives" series, bringing together historical and contemporary works—a format continued through exhibitions by Dominika Sadowska (2024) and Ewa Doroszenko (2025).
