A workshop focused on the practical aspects of preserving archival photography, led by specialists from the Archeology of Photography Foundation (FAF). This meeting will offer an opportunity to assess the condition of personal collections and receive advice on proper preservation techniques.
The program includes:
- Basic guidelines for storing different types of photographs,
- Methods for identifying types of photographic negatives,
- Common factors causing damage to collections,
- Demonstration of micro-damage to objects using a professional microscope,
- Examples of simple preventive measures that can be implemented independently.
Intended audience: This workshop is aimed at private individuals interested in preserving family memories, as well as collectors and researchers. The session will be tailored to the needs of senior participants (including access to an induction loop, presentation materials in compliance with WCAG standards) and neurodiverse individuals (ETR texts will be available).
