MEETINGS: Art Between Cultures (sign language)

Panel discussion with Adelina Borets and Aleksandra Wieliczko, moderated by Olga Mzhelskaya

The meeting is dedicated to the work of migrant women artists active in Warsaw, highlighting their perspective of creating “between cultures” and the impact of migration experience on art. The guests are film director Adelina Borets from Ukraine and Sasha Wieliczko from Belarus, whose works explore political emigration, trauma, and disinformation.

The event is complemented by the project „Heda” - a photographic story about young Chechen women living between two cultures. The project emphasizes their strength, solidarity, and agency, shifting the narrative of migration from stories of victims to stories of heroines.

The gallery becomes a space for dialogue and empathy, inspiring greater openness and integration. The discussion will be moderated by Olga Mzhelskaya – an art manager and curator of educational and exhibition projects, originally from Belarus, who actively works to integrate Belarusian artists into the Polish creative community.
