For the upcoming edition of Warsaw Gallery Weekend, we would like to propose a solo exhibition by Paul Czerlitzki. The exhibition project is being specially prepared for this occasion and will feature an installation with new works by the artist. The exhibition does not yet have a title.

Paul Czerlitzki’s works are created in long, consistent, and methodical series. Their creation involves specific procedures, incorporating reduction, accumulation, and chance. His practice engages in a reflection on painting and its material components. The artist has chosen a methodological process through which he can repeatedly renegotiate, discover, and critically examine the material preconditions of painting—namely the frame, canvas, and paint—as well as its goal: the creation of an image. In his practice, the placement and spatial relationship of the "painting" as an object to a specific environment are also of key importance.
