Cezary Poniatowski

CEZARY PONIATOWSKI (ur. 1987, mieszka i pracuje w Warszawie oraz na Krecie, Grecja) to artysta interdyscyplinarny, absolwent Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie. Swoją twórczość rozpoczynał od grafiki warsztatowej, następnie zwrócił się ku malarstwu, a obecnie koncentruje się głównie na instalacjach, rzeźbie i interwencjach site-specific, korzystając z różnych form ekspresji. Przejście do form trójwymiarowych pozwoliło mu pogłębić badania nad przecięciem rzemiosła, designu i swobodnej kreatywności.

Praktyka artystyczna Poniatowskiego oscyluje między tym, co znajome, a tym, co niepokojące, często badając materialność, tożsamość i pamięć zakorzenioną w przedmiotach. Przekształca codzienne materiały i historyczne odniesienia, wywołując dwuznaczność, dyskomfort i skojarzenia pobudzające do refleksji. Inspiracje czerpie z nostalgii filmowej, retrotopii, plemienności oraz polaryzacji współczesnych społeczeństw, podejmując temat introwersji w epoce emocjonalnej eksternalizacji.
