Shimmering Rubble
HOS
to 15.11.2025Norbert Delman's solo exhibition, Shimmering Rubble, invites viewers into a contemplative space where remnants of urban decay are transformed into organic sculptures. The series continues the artist's long-standing series of works and reflects a practice in which themes of nostalgia, transformation and the cyclical nature of existence are intertwined.
Delman uses rubble from demolished buildings in Warsaw, a city marked by dynamic change and a complex history. The installations explore the notion of being human as a remnant - an individual shaped by the accumulation of experiences and emotional records, seeking new narratives. They also symbolise the natural energy that transforms one reality into another; both monuments to bygone eras and the hope that is born out of decay.
Delman's works cut through the landscape of destruction, inspiring a dialogue about resilience and transformation. Shimmering Rubble is an exploration of existence and an invitation to reflect on our place in cycles of creation and decay.
