In Children are time maturing in a fresh body, Anna Orłowska explores photography as a physical and emotional act of presence —a way of holding space for people, places, and the passage of time. Her works, crossing the borders of the medium, emerge through closeness and attention, capturing the quiet rituals of care, play, and change that define everyday life. Rooted in family and shaped by loss, the exhibition reveals how photography can both register and soften impermanence —offering a fragile thread of connection between now and then, between memory and the body.

Anna Orłowska —photographer and visual artist, born in 1986 in Opole, Poland. She studied photography at the National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź and at the Institute of Creative Photography at the University of Silesia in Opava. She was awarded the Photo Global scholarship at the School of Visual Arts in New York (2013). The artist uses photography to reveal invisible layers of history and its ideological conditioning, usually absent from official narratives. Playing with various conventions, from documentary to staging, she exposes hidden myths and legends, deconstructing fantasies about the past, and creating new constellations of meanings. Her objects, based on photographic images, test the boundaries of the medium. Orłowska treats photography as an instrument for exploring the concept of knowledge itself and as a tool for working with memory, which by its nature is also fragmentary. She lives and works in Warsaw and Silesia
