We warmly invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition Memory Palace, led by curator Marianna Łomża together with the artists Weronika Guenther, Maryna Sakowska, and Inga Wójcik.
As we grow up, we confront boundaries and ambiguities. We separate and define our own place. This experience can lead to fear and disgust, but also to sublimation — the transformation of chaos into art or mystical experience. A shared thread in the practices of Guenther, Sakowska, Szczerbowska, and Wójcik is tension — between aesthetics and control, between structure and subjectivity, between beauty and its decay. The artists do not offer clear diagnoses; rather, they test boundaries and deconstruct mechanisms. They trace what remains hidden. Their works build maps of contemporary needs and emotions: shame, loneliness, and the desire for control — but also the longing for freedom.
The project is co-financed by the City of Warsaw.
