MEETINGS: A musical evening with koto and Katarzyna Karpowicz

Katarzyna Karpowicz – sound performer. She lived for many years in Japan, where she studied language and music. She plays the koto and shō, combining classical idioms with extended techniques, non-tempered tunings, and subtle electronics. Moving between gagaku and club noise, she builds delicate drones, micro-shifts, and “beautiful mistakes” that shape the space. Recently, she has performed at the Sanatorium of Sound Festival in Sokołowsko, Ad Libitum Festival, and Spatif.
