Inner Sun is an energy we recognize in ourselves and in others, as well as in simple things and everyday moments. It is a force that enables us to face even the most difficult experiences. The title reflects a shared interest between the two artists in the transformative potential of the body, emotions, and spirituality—an inner realm that exists independently of external circumstances.

Urszula Broll’s mandalas, painted from the late 1960s onward, emerged from a profound inner breakthrough and an engagement with Eastern spiritual teachings, meditative systems, tantra, and Jungian psychology. The act of painting was deeply introspective, a means of exploring the unknown within. It became a meditative practice in itself, restoring balance and bringing calm.

Anna Sztwiertnia’s installations and sculptures create immersive environments where contemporary rituals are processed and reimagined. Her work highlights the therapeutic potential of embodied experience while simultaneously exposing the superficiality of modern-day spirituality rooted in self-improvement culture and wellness culture.
