Common Arts Foundation and Galerie Nordenhake invite you to the solo exhibition of Mirosław Bałka in Warsaw, titled "Arbeit".
"Arbeit" is a survey exhibition showcasing selected works by Mirosław Bałka – from his last figurative pieces of the 1980s to works created up until 2011. The exhibition offers an overview of the key themes in Bałka’s practice, his distinctive visual language, and his consistent engagement with subjects such as memory, the body, and history.

Founded in 1976, Galerie Nordenhake operates spaces in Stockholm, Berlin, and Mexico City. For many years, it has been the principal gallery representing Mirosław Bałka’s work. The exhibition in Warsaw marks not only a continuation of this long-standing collaboration but also the gallery’s first active presence on the Polish art scene – made possible by the invitation of Common Arts Foundation.

The exhibited works come from the collections of Galerie Nordenhake, the artist himself, and Jakub Mrówka.
