MEETINGS: Resilient Debris: spatial dialogue with Norbert Delman and Jarosław Lubiak (sign language)
“Resilient Debris” is a unique space for dialogue between the viewer and Norbert Delman's work, in which the rubble of Warsaw becomes a vehicle for history, memory and hope. In an era of crises and social helplessness, this encounter permeates the melancholy of the present day, offering a story of perseverance, rebirth and the strength inherent in the ‘remnants’ of the city. The dialogue between the artist and the theorist, conducted in the exhibition space, becomes a ritual of empathy and reflection on cultural and existential continuity. It is an invitation to meditate together on the paradoxes of our reality, which we can work through by nurturing hope and responsibility towards the world.
The meeting will take place in the exhibition space of Norbert Delman's sculptures ‘Shimmering Rubble’ at the HOS Gallery. The artist uses rubble from demolished buildings in Warsaw, a city marked by dynamic changes and a complex history. The installations explore the concept of being human as a remnant — an individual shaped by the accumulation of experiences and emotional records, searching for new narratives.
To ensure accessibility, the event will be interpreted into Polish Sign Language.
